GEDUFIN promotes financial education, a key national objective of the Spanish government, by generating open educational resources that foster free access to knowledge and broaden understanding of the current economic and financial environment. Another objective of the group is to incorporate artificial intelligence into the evaluation process of graduate-level financial courses, using rigorous, scientifically validated methodologies.
This teaching project developed by GEDUFIN is part of the PRAUZ program of the University of Zaragoza, which promotes the publication of open educational materials. The project utilizes its YouTube Channel as a key tool for the dissemination of relevant economic and financial content in Spanish.
Through the channel, the project publishes short videos that cover specific and current topics. These materials are presented in accessible and not excessively technical language, aiming to reach a broad audience — including those without prior training in the area — and contribute to the national objective of financial education. The channel regularly publishes new recordings, following a consistent format and brand identity, as part of a long-term project aimed at providing a sustainable source of open educational resources.
Watch Videos on Our YouTube ChannelThe overall objective of ECOEDU is to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative teaching-learning strategies based on emerging educational technologies, Artificial Intelligence, interactive digital resources, and immersive virtual environments. These strategies not only promote learning, but also foster the personal, ethical, educational, emotional, and social well-being of university students, and ensure inclusion, accessibility, and social responsibility in the educational process.
In recent years, ECOEDU has been analyzing whether students in the School of Economics and Business incorporate or use artificial intelligence tools, virtual environments, and interactive digital resources aimed at improving the personalization of learning and active student participation.
ECOEDU is interested in studying whether students are aware of the permitted limits and the ethical implications of AI use, as well as their perceptions regarding authorship of work, plagiarism, the reliability of AI-generated responses, the limits of use in the academic sphere, and the possible consequences arising from the detection of irregular practices and academic fraud.
