Short Bio

Mercedes Alda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance and an associate researcher at the Institute on Employment, Digital Society and Sustainability (IEDIS) at the University of Zaragoza. She teaches finance courses at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

She holds a PhD from the University of Zaragoza (2012), with a dissertation entitled “Pension funds in Europe: performance analysis in Spain and the United Kingdom” (Cum Laude and European Mention). She completed a research stay at Dublin City University in 2010. Her main research topics are portfolio management in pension funds and mutual funds, with a particular focus on ESG and socially responsible investment.
