Short Bio

Carlos Serrano-Cinca is a Full Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance and an associate researcher at the Institute on Employment, Digital Society and Sustainability (IEDIS) at the University of Zaragoza. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Southampton (UK), coordinated the Telefónica-University of Zaragoza Chair, and held the position of head of the Aragonese Observatory of the Information Society. He was Director of the Master in Electronic Business Administration (MeBA) and Director of the Department of Accounting and Finance.

His research focuses on the impact of information and communication technologies on Accounting and Finance, Social Finance, and the factors that influence the success and failure of companies, with special emphasis on entrepreneurs. He has directed five research projects funded by the Spanish Government and authored 57 academic publications, holding five six-year research fellowships and one six-year transfer fellowship.

In terms of research transfer, he has collaborated with companies such as Telefónica, FrogTEK, Soltic, ACK, Schindler, Barrabes IaSoft, Twindocs, Wirelessland, OESIA, and Mapfre, as well as institutions including INAEM, the Chambers of Commerce, the Technological Institute of Aragón (ITA), and the Government of Aragón.
