Short Bio
Laura Andreu is an Associate Professor of Finance and an Associate Researcher at the Institute on Employment, Digital Society and Sustainability (IEDIS) at the University of Zaragoza. She started as a research fellow at the University of Zaragoza in 2006 and received her doctorate in 2009, with a thesis entitled “Financial Management of Spanish Pension Plans: Comparison to the UK Market”. The thesis produced four international JCR-indexed publications in Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance: Issues and Practice (2007), Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting (2010), Journal of Pension Economics and Finance (2010), and Journal of Business Economics and Management (2015).
Her research focuses on portfolio management (mutual funds and pension plans) and behavioural finance (manager and investor behaviour). Her work has been published in International Review of Financial Analysis, Finance Research Letters, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Cleaner Production, and European Journal of Operational Research, among others.
She has supervised one PhD thesis and has collaborated with INVERCO (Asociación de Instituciones de Inversión Colectiva y Fondos de Pensiones) and with the «Cátedra Emprender» initiative. Laura Andreu served as Vice Dean of Social and Cultural Projection of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies (2011–2015) and as academic coordinator of the Finance and Accounting Degree (2016–2023) at the University of Zaragoza. She is also a member of the editorial board of Finance Research Letters.
